Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the process in which dissolved impurities are removed from water by means of osmosis. RO units use well or city water. This end result is known as spot free water and is used for final rinsing in carwash applications.

Water testing will determine the type and level of pre-treatment needed to gain the best life for the RO system and for your car wash equipment.

Pre-treatment is essential to protect the membranes used within the system, scaling due to hard water is the one of the major contaminates requiring pre-treatment.

Normally a water softener is used, prior to the RO unit to remove hardness above 1 grain.

Ryan technology also offers an alternative to softening by adding an anti-scaling device to eliminate the need for a softener, where appropriate.

RO Units are delivered preserved and ready to use.
